How to optimize keyword research for making money online.

Think like a Boss

Let’s start at the beginning.

You need to think like a Boss and design a strategy to scale your blogs like a startup, not a hobby if you want to make money from it as rapidly as possible.

You may earn money as a blogger sooner rather than later if you choose the greatest high-end blog monetization plan on the first day.

Also having a solid affiliate group behind you will steer you in the right direction.

My Recommendation.

I searched high and low for a group that I could learn and earn from at the same time. I spent, and wasted, a lot of time on cowboys in the market who promised amazing returns in the first 3 months. Yep, I should have known better.

However, as a teacher, I knew I could write and kept looking. It took me to close to a year and a lot of wasted money to finally find a group I can call home.

Then, after being mauled a few times, I sat on the sidelines ( The free sidelines ) and watched and learned about this business. After 6 months I finally upgraded to a premium or paid account.

I was covering costs within the first year and making money on top. No B.S., from the group, only great training, and a supportive community.

This group is called Wealthy Affiliate and it is free to join. If you click on the banner below you can check it out too.

Content is King

And with the correct content, you don’t need a lot of people to visit a blog post, you just need one or two to click through and buy one of the things you recommend.

Affiliate marketing is a terrific method to monetize your blog because if you like a product or brand, you can recommend it to others who might be interested in purchasing it. But how do they find you and your website?

Developing content that attracts organic traffic is one of the most difficult challenges for web marketers. Using SEO writing to improve the rating of your content is a good idea.

SEO Content.

Although SEO experts agree that content is an important part of their strategy, there appear to be diverse definitions of “great” and even differing views on how important highly competent content production is.

Furthermore, different people approach writing “SEO-friendly” content in different ways. Some people are just interested in the users. Others are focused on Google.

Some even believe that keywords are the most crucial aspect in creating ranked content. But it is all of this and more.

Today, we will focus on keyword research tools that are truly helpful to get your reader to find your website.

A good keyword research tool can help.

So what is keyword research?

Keyword research is the process of locating and evaluating search phrases that people enter into search engines with the intention of utilizing the information for a specific purpose, such as SEO or general marketing.

Keyword research can reveal queries to target, as well as their popularity, ranking difficulty, and more.

The information you put into the search bar of Google, Bing, Yahoo, or DuckDuckGo will lead you to what you want to read.

So if you want to know what your customers or readers are looking for, a keyword research tool is critical for the success of your blog.

Why is it that important?

You must understand the keywords clients use to find your website, this is called keyword intent.

As well as the impact these words or phrases play in search engine optimization (SEO), when you use the appropriate keywords, your SEO improves, and you move closer to the top of Google’s search engine results pages (SERPs).

Increase your keyword density to help your business reach page one of the search results. But do not overstuff your keywords or links in your post. You can find out more about links and the importance of a good Link policy in my blog Anchor Texts and why they are important.

Also, think about your own searches, how often do you go past page one to find what you are looking for.

If you are stuck on page 6 or 7, how many people will find you? Not a lot, they will have had their answer already and left.

So to get found look at using long-tail keywords.

The importance of Long Tail keywords.

You must attract people who are willing to purchase your goods and services. It’s preferable to employ niche-specific, long-tail keywords rather than sprinkling the most popular search terms (which are used by all of your major competitors) throughout your content at random.

Some of my competitors, for example, may use the title “keywords for websites,” whereas I used the long tail keyword phrase “how to optimize keyword research for making money online” Long-tail keywords assist you in reaching out to serious searchers who are ready to act.

Optimizing for SEO.

It’s not enough to make a website appealing to visitors; you also need to make it simple for search engines to return the most relevant results for a user’s query.

To accomplish this, your website must be visually appealing as well as have relevant, keyword-rich content. If you do it correctly, your small business will appear prominently on the first page rather than being buried on page six or seven.

What is the significance of this? According to research, just about 10% of web searchers get beyond the first page, and more than half never scroll past the first three results on page one.

And, yes, you need a good keyword research tool that can help you.

Free keyword research tools.

Google Keyword Planner.

Google provides a couple of tools that make keyword research simple, and their free AdWords tool, Keyword Planner, is a good place to start, especially if you use AdWords for some of your campaigns.

(Note: To use Keyword Planner, you’ll need to register an AdWords account, but it doesn’t imply you have to produce an ad.)

When you enter one or more keywords, or even your website URL into Google Keyword Planner, it will return a list of similar keywords along with simple data that show how competitive each one is and how many searches it receives on both a global and local level.

Google Trends

Another free Google tool is Google Trends. It allows you to filter by location, search history, and category as well as enter multiple keywords.

Once you’ve entered that information, it’ll show you how much web interest there is for a specific keyword, what sparked it, and where the traffic is coming from, as well as similar phrases.

The best thing about Google Trends is that, unlike most keyword research tools, it doesn’t only give you static keyword volume figures. Instead, it creates vibrant, interactive graphs that you can engage with and download.

And embed it into your own website. It will also provide you with more dynamic information about a keyword, such as the relative popularity of a search term over time.

Paid keyword research tools.

SEMrush

SEMrush costs $69.95 per month for Pro, $149.95 per month for Guru, and $549.95 per month for Business.

SEMrush is a competitive research tool that allows you to monitor your competitors’ keywords to see if there are any opportunities to overtake them in Google and Bing’s organic search results.

You can examine the competitive environment by comparing a variety of domains, including their popular keywords and positions in Google’s organic, sponsored, and shopping search results.

Position monitoring is a more advanced version of Google Trends that allows you to follow a keyword’s position in the SERPs and examine its history of climbs and falls. Their vibrant, graphic charts are also quite useful for immediately grasping trends and analyzing data.

Ahrefs.

Price: $99 per month for Lite; $179 per month for Standard; $399 per month for Advanced Ahrefs Keywords Explorer is similar to SEMrush, but it comes with a few added features and a lot more user-friendly interface.

It can also assess how many searches result in actual page visits. And you can identify traffic-generating keywords and avoid dead-end possibilities using the Clicks and Clicks Per Search metrics option.
