How to be a YouTube Vlogging Hero on a budget.

Vlogging for Success.

What is Vlogging?

Vlogging is a type of blogging that uses video instead of text. A blog where the majority of the content is in the form of video.

Since YouTube’s inception in 2005, vlogging has risen at dizzying speed.

There are more than 37 million YouTube channels today, with 1 billion hours of video watched every day. You can build a vlogging channel and distribute video content on a variety of platforms.

YouTube channels are the most popular and successful vlogs, but there are many more sites where you can publish, like MeWe and the newcomer Tik Tok.

While video is the vlog format and the web is the publishing medium, you are only limited by your inventiveness. In terms of style, your vlog can be educational or performance art, documentary, or humorous in content.

What makes a good Vlog?

You shouldn’t make your vlog on whatever you want just because you can. After all, you want people to watch your content and listen to you. So don’t make it boring.

Forget about footage of grass growing or shaky camera shots of clouds moving across the sky. There are a few well-known methods for attracting viewers and converting them into dedicated fans.

Here are a few vlogging pointers to help you become a hero.

Find a Niche

You need a topic matter that people are interested in and will come to rely on you for, just like you do with blogging.

Decide on your area of expertise and make sure there is a market for it. Affiliate marketing, food challenges, street interviews, gaming, and yoga are all excellent video topics with a large following.

Choose something you’re enthusiastic about. It’ll show in your work, and it’ll keep you motivated to come up with fresh video ideas.

Choose a great location.

For many vloggers, the difference and quality that truly brings their story to life are determined by their location.

What interests you about a place or a location? Your favorite bars, clubs, or public areas may come to mind right now, prompting you to consider unusual spots or sights in your neighborhood or popular destinations throughout the world.

All of these locations have one thing in common: you will have a fantastic time. If you think about it, it’s not always about you having fun in these places. Rather, it’s about you having fun with other people you meet at these locations.

Tell a Story.

A vlog isn’t just a collection of footage thrown together at random. A good vlog should have a plot: a beginning, middle, and end.

You are not thinking about the structure or plot when casually relaying a story to a friend. You’re focused on what happened and want to convey it as clearly as possible.

But when it comes to vlogging, you should take a different strategy. Ad-libbing is acceptable. It’s fine if you stumble. It’s fine to go back and repeat a section of the story while you are recording.

After you’ve captured all of the components of the story, including your narration, and any supporting video, you’ll need to clip out all of the extraneous or repetitive bits and edit it together so it can be appreciated as a single story.

Be Yourself.

Make a Statement

“I’ve done everything man “, as Keith Richards put it. But when the plane had to turn around on a flight to Europe, he responded, “Well, I’ve never done that before.”

So, no, everything hasn’t already been done. However, because so much has already been done, you must make a vlog in your own distinctive style.

Adding your personal touch to video blogging might make your video stand out among the crowd. Look for ways to differentiate yourself or your channel.

Prepare yourself.

While you can pick up a camera and start vlogging on the spur of the moment, being prepared allows you to make the best possible video.

Take a few minutes before you start recording to write down the main things you want to cover and how you want the movie to end, so you don’t forget anything important.

Furthermore, understanding what to say improves your vlog’s presentation. “Umms” and “ahhs” should be avoided. Learn from the pros and watch some of YouTube’s or TikTok’s biggest stars.

Having all of your equipment ready for filming when you need it is an important part of good preparation. Nothing is more frustrating than having your camera ready to shoot but running out of battery or memory.

Educate yourself.

YouTube has a free creator academy you can use to ramp up your effectiveness in using this channel.

Equip yourself.

What things do we need to consider when buying gear for Vlogging. The most important is budget if you are just starting out.

How can you make a good Vlog on a budget?

You might not have the funds to spend on high-end vlogging gear if you’re just getting started and don’t have any following or income from vlogging. But that’s OK, let’s look at how to start on the cheap.

Use your smartphone.

Almost every smartphone on the market, whether it’s an Android or an Apple device, has a decent video camera. Sure, it won’t be as good as a real camera, but it’ll do the job just fine.

Tripod and post-production.

Add a tripod to help with the stability of the phone, selfie stick at least, then the phone camera can be used for vlogging.

You can use post-production tools, which can be downloaded as an app or come pre-installed on your smartphone, to apply any effects. ScreencastOmatic is pretty cool as a video capture tool.

Don’t have the funds to purchase filters or a tripod? Improvise. Make use of a cushion

Audio.

Built-in phone or camera mics are typical of poor quality, picking upwind, background noise, and other noise pollution that you probably don’t want polluting your vlogs’ audio quality.

Microphone.

You don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars on a microphone, thankfully. A good microphone can be had for under $20.

Camera of choice

All of Your Vlogging Needs Can Be Satisfied With This Camera

The HERO9 Black has been dubbed the “Best camera for vlogging “wet-and-wild” YouTube videos” by CNET… But there’s more for wannabe vloggers than HERO9:

Black HERO10: Straight out of the box, the latest GoPro is ready to rock any vlog

The HERO10 has all of the same features as the HERO9 Black, but it runs on the new GP2 CPU, which provides 2X the speed and convenience.

Load up your HERO10 or HERO9 Black with the “Mods” for an all-around excellent vlogging experience

The Media Mod has a directional microphone and two cold shoe attachments, which are ideal for attaching the Light Mod, which adds an extra fill light, or the Display Mod, which adds a 2-inch vlogging display screen. To make the ideal rig, mount it on a Shorty tripod.

Cameras LIGHT action.

Lighting is, without a doubt, one of the most difficult aspects of vlog filming. Many people mistakenly credit a film’s quality to the camera when it should be attributed to the lighting.

Use a ring light because ring lights create steady light, making them ideal for videographers. Many ring lights also have a dial that allows you to alter the color temperature to suit different skin tones.

And they’re inexpensive, to begin with, costing as little as $10.

But what if you’re short on cash and can’t afford lighting?

Is there a window in your room? Then you’ve got some fantastic natural light to work within your films.

Conclusion

Make sure you have enough interesting topics to cover on your vlog so that you can post new content regularly.

Create a content calendar to stay on pace and post regularly. Then viewers can expect when they can watch your vlog.

And, have fun while you are doing it.
