There are many reasons affiliate marketers fail and we will cover them in this article so YOU don’t become one of the statistics. However, if you are in a hurry and not going to read all of this, I will give you one piece of golden advice. “Find a mentor” who will work with you. Not for days or weeks, but for years. My biggest piece of luck was finding a company called Wealthy Affiliates with a gentleman called Kyle and 2 others who have helped get me where I am today.

Time is Money.
We can readily picture the image of two people standing and bargaining over vegetables for thirty minutes in the market. Are one or two dollars worth your entire day? Yet in business, we do similar things every day. There is a saying that covers it perfectly, ‘penny wise and pound foolish”
You must realize that time is a valuable resource. Understanding the value of time, however, is not an easy process.
Spending a half-day haggling with one another merely to save a few dollars is false economy.
Quite often we waste time without even realizing it. We will stand around the office talking to other workers and literally waste time and money.
Wasting time in affiliate marketing is a sure way to go out of business. In the first few years, you will be extremely busy learning and honing your craft and if you waste time it will be even longer before you start making money.
Stay Focused.
What are those driven individuals doing while others are idly passing the time away? They learn new things, make connections, gather resources, and set themselves up for success in the future.
While lost money can be recovered, lost time cannot. Time is valuable; do not squander it on pointless or unnecessary activities. Plan your day, and set aside the time needed for your business.
I am not saying work to the exclusion of everything else, you do need balance in your life. When you work, stay focused and commit to the task at hand, and do not get sidetracked.
Giving Up.
One of the most common causes of people failing is “giving up”. I have seen so many people who have put in 3 months or even more and given up. It takes time, like any business. And in my opinion, it takes even longer to be successful in Affiliate Marketing because you have to adapt to different marketing strategies than if you were opening a physical address.
Also. Google takes its time in accepting and ranking new websites. They want to see if you are providing good advice to their customers or your readers. If you plagiarize other websites you will be punished, if your website is slow to download or difficult to read or navigate, your website will be punished. Google search central is a good place to start to find out what google expects from you.
Choose the Correct Niche.
People frequently fail in affiliate marketing because they strive to please everyone and don’t correctly define a niche. They don’t concentrate on one subject, and as a result, they don’t have the knowledge or reputation necessary for success.
Finding a distinct specialty and concentrating on it is crucial when you’re first getting started. You can expand if you want to after becoming established in that specific area. However, it’s preferable to start out with a very keen focus.
Knowing your niche also enables you to produce recommendations for products and content that are considerably more focused and, consequently, more likely to convert.
Find a niche you are both passionate about and knowledgeable about. If you do not understand your niche you will not be able to write good content because you don’t know the questions your audience wants to be answered. Also, if you don’t know your niche and the people it relates to how can you recommend products that they need?
A poor understanding and knowledge of your niche will quickly be shown in the poor quality of articles that are written. You need to take time in choosing your niche because you will be writing hundreds of articles for it over the years to come.

Poorly Written Content.
Nothing will save you from poorly written or badly informed content. Cut to the chase and keep it relevant. The question the article is about should be answered at the beginning of the piece so that readers can see the answer right away.
After that, get more explicit about the article’s subject and divide it up into manageable sections.
Row after row of words is not pleasant to the eyes. Make sure you give your article plenty of breaks so there is plenty of white space to read it comfortably.
Write without utilizing technical jargon, internal acronyms, or tediously long phrases, and present the information in a straightforward and succinct manner.
Ensure that your piece is well-written, using easily understood language and a clear writing style. You must also write regularly, putting out 1 article per month is not nearly enough to attract readers. I often write 7 blogs in one week and never below 5.
Even with that quantity, it should be a worthwhile article that can stand on its own legs before you think about SEO ( Search Engine Optimization) and keywords. And make sure the information is correct, not copied, and doesn’t bore people to death.
Search Engine Optimization.
To help your content reach the readers you need to consider SEO. The process of improving your web pages for search engines is known as search engine optimization. It aims to boost your website’s natural (organic) visibility in search engine result pages (SERPs).
SEO is entirely distinct from (paid) search engine advertising. You pay search engines like Google to display your website on the search result page when you use sponsored advertising. Organic traffic is the number of website visitors who arrive from these search engine results (because they found your website themselves). You must become competent at SOE to attract readers. If you do not you set yourself up to fail.

Make sure your posts rank highly in SEO if you want people to read them and engage with your content.
You should concentrate on writing articles that answer the questions your audience is interested in learning the answers to, while the majority of people try to write reviews about their topic or informational pieces.
The finest type of keywords to choose are those that drive traffic to your website and help you rank in the search engines.

Many people consider their affiliate marketing business to be a pastime. When they feel like it, they work on it.
Success in this industry, as in any other type of business, demands time, work, and attention.
You must put in daily work, time, effort, and attention to succeed in affiliate marketing, just as you would if you were going to a 9 to 5 job.
By not making the essential WORK and EFFORT investments in your business to advance it, you are on the road to failure.
Many people consider their affiliate marketing business to be a pastime. When they feel like it, they work on it.
You won’t get the outcome you want, and if you don’t get the outcome you want, guess what? You’re prone to giving up and getting discouraged easily.
Always keep in mind that anything worthwhile needs work, time, effort, and consistency.
To advance your business, get up each day and put in some effort. Additionally, if you can, find a partner or mentor who will keep you accountable for the work you do or don’t do.
Choosing the Correct Affiliate Programs.
Advertising is only one aspect of affiliate marketing; another is the software that will turn clicks into money for you.
You will require a different affiliate program depending on the kind of goods you are selling and the niche you have chosen.

Purchase the Product you Promote.
Most affiliate marketers are people who write about the product secondhand, only sharing what they find on Amazon and from secondhand reviews.
While that is good you could make your experience different by buying the product yourself and using yourself as a primary source.
Take pictures, take videos, and document the entire experience with your website. Give a real and honest review, and that will connect with your audience.
They want to see the people they are reading the review for actually using the product they are reviewing. It’s very important and can really increase your credibility as a reviewer.
If you gain the trust of your readers, they will be more inclined to buy from you.

Make sure you have all the information on your side if you want to start an affiliate marketing business.
