The importance of productivity tools.
The value of productivity management solutions for small businesses is especially important in today’s “new normal,” which has resulted in an increase in the popularity of remote teams and individuals working from home.
Businesses must be adaptable and provide options for these employees to be productive, ensuring that everyone on your team is focusing on the correct duties and automating those that aren’t worth anyone’s time.
Everyone, should be more productive. But how do we do it? That’s where productivity software can help. Productivity tools aren’t simply nice-to-haves, they’re essential for a company’s growth and success, regardless of size.
And one of the best tools we have is right between our ears. So how do we maximize our brain power while working?
One company uses music to increase our brains performance, and not just any music. So Let’s delve deeper into the complexities of enhancing the functions of our brains. Scam or not, Let’s’ have a look.

Brain Fm
Brain FM is a company that provides “music” that helps people reach a mental state that increases their performance, or so they say. Let’s go even deeper down the hole.
In human auditory perception and cognition, music is a powerful phenomena. Music has the ability to make us laugh or cry. It has the ability to rouse us up or put us to sleep. Can we construct music with the intention of reliably shaping our behavior? Let’s find out.
Neuroscience.
Brain.fm used neuroscience and perceptual psychology to come up with assumptions about what kinds of sounds would be good for studying, motivating you to work out, getting you to sleep, and a variety of other things.
Then they developed and experimented with those sounds on a large scale to see what works. This two-stage process (hypotheses, then testing) allowed them to quickly find functioning music by narrowing the field of possibilities before testing.
They’ve already followed numerous lines of evidence this way, all of which have been effective in music. More lines are currently being developed, with more to follow.
This technique may be used to translate the latest results into something that people can utilize, fostering innovation in functional music, as long as the people at Brain Fm keep learning about the mind and brain.

The Claims of Brain FM
Patented Neural Phase Locking
Brain.fm holds patents on key processes for creating functional music, including technology to elicit strong neural phase locking—allowing populations of neurons to engage in various kinds of coordinated activity. This makes our music unique, purpose-built to steer you into a desired mental state.
Reduce distraction
We use a proprietary system to reduce salience, allowing the music to sit comfortably in the background. This approach is drastically different from most music in the world, which is designed to grab your attention. Instead, our process ensures that attention-grabbing elements are subdued or removed.
Tested on Brain and Behavior
We collaborate with academic institutions to run experiments. We look at the effects of our technology on the brain, using MRI and EEG, and also run large-scale behavioral tests, measuring performance on simple games. Our experiments always include a control condition (‘placebo’) of the same underlying music without Brain.fm technology applied, so we can be sure our tech is what makes the difference.
Human composers enabled by science and AI tools
Unlike ‘muzak’ systems that generate infinite quantities of mediocre music, our in-house composers make real music with human warmth. These musicians are enabled with patented tools and techniques that apply the science to the music.
Isn’t this just binaural beats?
Binaural beats produce weak or absent neural synchrony while modulation applied directly in each stereo channel (rather than arising from different signals to the two ears) has much stronger effects on brain activity. We use this (‘non-binaural’) modulation, but this is just one of many techniques to help people reach mental states. Other examples: our sleep music uses 3D effects to produce relaxing motion (‘rocking’), and our focus music removes sound events that would grab your attention (‘salience reduction’).
What’s my take on this.
Both the science and my personal experience make me believe that this for real. I certainly was more focused when listening and my output jumped significantly. But don’t take my word for it, try them out yourself. They offer a 3-day free trial.

Reducing distraction is so important. We are not able to be productive when we’re interrupted every 20 minutes. Thank you very much for giving us this solution. AI tools seem to be taking the market by storm. And they are aiding us in so many areas. It’s not as some science fiction put it years ago in which humans lost control to machines. AI tools as these are potentializing humans capabilities.
Thanks Paolo, Yes I agree, AI is certainly providing us with many more tools and these tools do make life easier. You may also want to look at this as well.
